Sauna restaurant Sataman Viilu consists of a unique restaurant, three different saunas, and meeting and banquet facilities. You can enjoy the scenery of Lake Jyväsjärvi in the atmospheric sauna facilities and cool off in the pool connected to the terrace. 

​

In this project, we design a unique building that combines log, a building material known in Finland as traditional and ecological, with today’s modern design language and functionality. The sculpturally formed charred wood exterior preserves the warm, light-colored log building.

The building's shape looks different from each direction. The goal was to create an easily recognizable landmark building suitable for the landscape, which invites visitors to enjoy its services all year long.⠀
