Arkkitehtitoimisto KOAN Oy is a Helsinki-based architectural practice that combines a fresh design perspective with strong technical expertise. The office was founded by architects Marko Simsiö and Johannes Koskela.

Our core expertise lies in sustainable wooden architecture at various scales – from master planning to individual buildings. The office has designed several timber residential areas, public buildings, and private houses across Finland. Our work has been awarded and recognized in numerous architectural competitions.

We also have strong expertise in contemporary Building Information Modeling (BIM).
